I recently passed my first PAST and was told I was to find a TACP to question. I am wondering if anybody was been through who I could get in contact with?
I've been itching for a School house date. Been passing my PAST; been driven/motivated to exceed the standards since my coach has been very supportive and informative about the JTAC community, so I'm really looking forward to it, physically and mentally.
Really curios of the changes of training.
How long was the Schoolhouse? and is SERE and jumpschool part of it?
Attrition rate?
How is the watercon event? (ive been reading from the TACP FB page that theres a 500m swim not timed)
And if there were any (Army) Prior Service members when you were going through it.
Schoolhouse right now is 70 something training days (not including days off/weekends) comes out close to 4 months. This is obviously after the 5 day selection course. I was told they would be adding a 4th block on training geared more towards JTAC skills but Idk when that is supposed to start. Of course this would add an extra month or so
SERE is after you graduate the schoolhouse. As well as Airborne but that is not a guarantee. About 6 people from my class went to AIrborne

If you can swim across the pool comfortably you'll be fine as a TACP
Yes, We had 2 prior army, 2 prior marines, and 5-6 cross trainees from other career feild within the AF
